Reaching for the sky
With its impressive 2,000-feet, the Gateway Tower will be the tallest building in the US. It represents a fundamentally new way of integrating public space into supertall buildings.
Gateway Tower rises 127 floors and includes 2,159,094 gross square feet. The tower comprises two hotels, condos and apartments, and features a park at its base. The tower's signature form features a modern take on a flying buttress that spans Lake Shore Drive. From the park it will be possible to access the mid-level skydeck and additional amenities. An observation deck will crown the towers summit.
The tower's iconic form and unique amenities were intended to make it an international icon, a tourist attraction, and an economic engine for its city.
